A little about the project
This Arts and Crafts style property near Sutton Coldfield provided our designers with a unique opportunity.
Design by Uber was approached after the existing property had been cleared and planning permission had been granted for a new construction.
Our space planning expertise was called upon to elevate the plans to the next level and we also set to work creating a full interior design scheme that was sympathetic to the architectural style of the property.
A full turnkey interior design solution was to be developed for the entire property offering elements of glamour, while also ensuring that it meets the practical needs of a family.
Additionally, we were instructed to fit and finish all elements of the scheme, including cabinetry, soft furnishings, with a specific requirement to create a social space for our client to store, sample, and enjoy their collection of fine wines.
Light bright & airy family spaces
From the hallway, dark stained double doors open into a room that is flooded with natural light through floor to ceiling glazed doors that offer stunning views of the garden. A feature pendant is set into a circular recessed ceiling area over the dining table highlighting it as a focal point in the room.
It’s all in the details
Throughout the space, our designers used different lighting options to great effect to help define the separate zonal spaces, whilst the layering of fabrics and accessories, with accents of yellow ochre, ensures a natural flow between the seating and kitchen areas.

Reconfigured Master site
Our objective was to ensure the master suite had a natural and prominent position, rendering it immediately identifiable.
With this end in mind, the plans were adapted to reconfigure the master and guest bedrooms and, in so doing, we were able to develop a spectacular master suite encompassing a lobby area, his and her dressing rooms and bathrooms as well as the bedroom itself.

To summaries the limited series is about the darker side of Hollywood, which is put in the spotlight as a family face a decision that changes their lives forever. Though-provoking drama `Dark Money’ sees parents Manny and Sam Mensah grapple with a heart-breaking situation when their son Isaac reveals he was abused by a Hollywood producer. To protect Isaac from becoming embroiled in a media frenzy, Manny and Sam accept a pay-off in return for their silence. But their desire to help their son move past his harrowing ordeal sends them all spiralling further into the darkness.
