Walmsley Fold Farm Video
We’ve been alerted to the fact that one of our favourite clients and interior design projects has gone on the market recently, Walmsley Fold Farm in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
It was one of those dream briefs where we took a 200-year-old farm and outbuildings along with the chosen architect for the exterior work and we were let loose to conjure up a luxurious and comfortable sprawling house with country charm, interest, and fun.
Underground max pleasure, serene above
I believe the client brief from this young fun family for the leisure area was something along the lines of “we want our in-laws and parents’ jaws’ to drop and feel like they’ve walked into a top-end London club”. The whole property seamlessly marries comfort and period character mixing the latest technology with charm and space.
Without doubt, the piece-de-resistance was the incredible 6,000 sq ft of underground leisure space which was excavated part under the main house with a lawn covering so that you would hardly know it exists from ground level. Yet there is a cutaway garden at the rear allowing a wall of natural light to the entire far side of the below spa complex.
You need to see this video to understand the extent of fun from the security-conscious master bedroom with a double-height bathroom to the eves, a two-way fire, and above the bed the lady of the house dressing area with shattered glass walkover. Ship-like bar, dance floor and cinema off the pool complex
It has recently been the rental abode of a top international footballer and we believe the estate agent Your Exclusive Move commissioned the above short video to try and capture some of the main elements of the house which still photography really falls short on. Be sure to catch the underground cinema/bar/spa etc near the end!

Celebs flock to the family getaway
The same family owns the renowned Pollensa holiday home “Las Tortugas” in Marbella. Built and Interior Designed with Design by UBER as a luxury holiday letting we designed it with a neutral palette to complement the local environment around as well as a practical mind for a rental market.
It has many talking points features two less subtle are the solid marble baths (which required special reinforcement and a halt to the wall construction to fit) and views from the pool past the golf course across open lands.
Polensa Holiday Home
It has been frequented as a rental by cycling holiday experiences and even celebrity couples. The Daily Mail even featured a break report by our friends Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright.
