Details & Specific Points of Interest

First and foremost we looked at the arrival point to such a grand home and the needs of the international market. There are some specific points to this very first stage. It’s important that guests can be shown immediately into an arrival room, somewhere to be seated whilst the host is preparing and it is key that this is situated close to the study so that meetings can be conducted without having to journey through the family section of the home.

Keeping the two separate, we looked at dividing the property in two halves, one for entertaining guests and the other will be where the family will spend the majority of their time.

The spaces will be connected by an overwhelmingly grand hallway with feature domed ceiling and bridged with central walkways with 3 metre tall doors embellished by stingray skin handles.

entertainment

This house really was designed with entertaining in mind, from the sweeping underground garage, designed to accommodate catering vehicles for parties, terraces to sit out and enjoy the English summer, to large temperature controlled wine cellars and a spectacular central bar that overlooks the pool.

kitchen

The kitchen was a key aspect to our design focus and all walls revolved around a central elliptical island. Guests arrive to a stunning peninsular with every conceivable element of luxury provided including coffee machines and a large snack pantry.

The length of kitchen that would mainly be used for cooking as well as the back of house kitchen were all designed for more aromatic cooking.

bedroom details

On the first floor the accommodation was equally well considered. The master bedroom, overlooking the golf course, was flanked by his and hers dressing rooms and bathrooms complete with perfumery cabinets.

Children’s bedrooms and guest bedrooms, all featured ensuites completed the first floor whilst additional staff accommodation was designed in to the lower ground space.

bedroom

When designing the master suite the theme we had in mind was sophisticated luxury.

We created a sequence of double doors leading to a lobby area when then led onto the master bedroom. We also incorporated his and her dressing rooms and bathrooms. This wonderful room also features a beautiful oversized bespoke headboard, wall panelling and details to the ceiling.

BAR

Each room benefitted from the same level of detail and finish. Especially the luxury area which features a temperature controlled walk-in wine room designed to maximise storage.

A tasting room which was surrounded by bronzed panels offset from a wall of mirrored bronze. A semi-circular lounging arrangement was flanked by matching bronze fretwork panels and cut glass pendants lights which completed the mood.
